Contractor Screening

Each of our home improvement professionals is pre-screened and qualified before receiving any referrals. Many of our contractors have been in our network since we started HomeNet Solutions in 1998, and the average contractor in our network has been with us for 8 years and has completed more than 40 jobs for HomeNet clients.

The majority of our new contractors are referred by our current contractors and clients and are required to go through a stringent background check process, in which contractors are screened for:

  • reliability
  • dependability
  • competitive prices
  • quality of work
  • customer service
  • insurance and applicable licenses
  • all contractors must sign, return, and uphold our customer service policy

Each contractor is personally interviewed and must provide 5–10 homeowner references, which are also interviewed by HomeNet as to the quality and reliability of the contractor’s work.

Constant, ongoing evaluation occurs to ensure contractors continue to meet the standards of HomeNet Solutions and more importantly, our clients. We keep a record of every completed job and gather feedback through our Customer Satisfaction Survey and personal client communication.

Contractors who do not continue to meet our standards, no matter their tenure, are dropped from the network.
